From May 12 to 14, over 120 identity governance and administration professionals, integrators, engineers, and midPoint enthusiasts from around the globe gathered in Bratislava for the MidPoint Community Meetup 2025. With representatives from 16 partner organizations and participants from dozens of countries, the event became a melting pot of ideas, experiences, and future visions for identity management and governance and midPoint, the only open source IGA platform made in the EU.

Dual Streams for Different Levels
To make the most of our diverse audience, we offered two tracks – one tailored for beginners, and one for advanced users. On the final day, the format shifted to two focused streams: a community stream open to all, and an exclusive partner stream. The partner stream provided a unique opportunity for our partner organizations to access in-depth information, ask specific questions, exchange knowledge, and engage in closed-door discussions that help shape future integrations and collaborations.
Engaging Panels and Strategic Talks
Throughout the meetup, attendees participated in several panel discussions that sparked conversation and brought together expert perspectives:

- The Blueprint: Proven MidPoint Deployment Strategies
These panels were part of a rich program that included 30 talks from Evolveum team and various experts across three days – each one contributing valuable insight into real-world challenges, technical expertise, and forward-looking strategies. Together, they fostered open dialogue, cross-community learning, and practical collaboration among participants.
A Glimpse into the Future: MidPoint’s Roadmap
In a keynote session, Katarína Bolemant, Evolveum’s Chief Product Officer, unveiled what’s ahead for midPoint. Her talk outlined the roadmap for version 4.10 and beyond – including new features, enhancements, and broader strategic goals that Evolveum’s development team is pursuing. It offered attendees a clear view of where midPoint is headed and how they can benefit from the evolution.
Honoring Excellence: The MidPoint Community Award
We were thrilled to present the MidPoint Community Award 2025 to Hiroyuki Wada, Chief Expert at Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. This award recognized his dedication, expertise, and contribution to midPoint and community.
Exploring Bratislava Together
Community spirit continued beyond the conference halls. On Tuesday afternoon, Martin Špánik and Richard Richter guided attendees through Bratislava’s charming Old Town, sharing stories, cultural insights, and quirky facts along the way. That evening, we gathered for an unforgettable networking event aboard a ship docked on the Danube River, enjoying drinks, snacks, and great company – a relaxing and energizing close to the day.
