Certification

Evolveum maintains the certification process for becoming a Certified MidPoint Professional and a Certified MidPoint Architect. Applicants for identity management and governance certification must successfully complete prescribed criteria to become certified.

Certified MidPoint Professional

A person holding this certificate is an experienced professional in the IGA field.

The certificate will be awarded to a person who:

  • Finished at least two complete IGA projects in the last five years. From these, at least one has to be built on midPoint. This has to be proven by testimonials from a project leader or two relevant team members. The candidate must state their position on the team and work responsibilities, in addition to indicating the basic outline of the technology used in the projects.
  • Has at least three years of active identity management and governance experience. The candidate must prove that their first hands-on experience with IGA technology was at least three years ago by presenting a training certificate, a copy of a support ticket, a mailing list post, or other similar proof.
  • The candidate must pass a test that contains technology-neutral questions regarding basic identity management and governance concepts and midPoint-specific questions.
  • The certificate will not be awarded for work on very simple projects. The projects must be at least of medium complexity.
  • The certificate may be awarded to a person who proves their skills and experience are equivalent to the criteria stated above. E.g., the certificate may be awarded to developers of IGA products, researchers in the identity management and governance field, and so on.
