On 11 February, world celebrates the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. It is implemented by UNESCO and UN-Women to promote full and equal access and participation in science for women and girls, as well as gender equality. This day is also a reminder that women and girls play a critical role in science and technology and that their participation should be strengthened.
