Stay at home they said, it will be fun they said. And they were right!
Due to current situation in the world, it is better to self-isolate. Luckily, as the character of our work allows us to do so, the Evolveum team used this opportunity to stay at home. Instead of enjoying friendly atmosphere of our offices, we are enjoying the advantages of working remotely from home, traveling no further than from living room to the kitchen and back.
However, it is important to keep in mind that we should isolate just physically, not mentally. To keep the team spirit alive (and of course take care of our extroverts who may not enjoy the isolation that much), we had this “coffee break” event via Zoom. Cameras and mikes on, cups of coffee or tea ready. Even if the event had just voluntary character, everyone attended and enjoyed this little online meeting of ours. Friendly and warming atmosphere with a lot of laughter encouraged all of us to get back to work with better mood. So we all agreed to organize this event on a regular basis.
We continue working this way until the situation gets better. And everyone who can should do the same. It’s not worthy to underestimate the situation and endanger your health or health of others. Stay safe!
