It is that splendid time of year again, and the European Identity and Cloud Conference is here. As it is an important European trade fair for identity technology, Evolveum was there.
It was a nice gathering, a really diverse group of people. Evolveum had a booth there, shedding light on the technology and providing some fun. We brought the memePoint game, which seemed to be a big hit with the crowd. Just take a look at the LinkedIn hashtag #memePoint2025 for the avalanche of identity memes. I even made a meme of myself:
There was a lot of product promotion and presenting going on, yet I was there mostly for the technological content. Slávek Licehammer, Evolveum’s Head of Engineering, had an excellent talk about the management of non-human identities. The room was completely full. I was a bit late and almost couldn’t find a place for myself. You can watch the video here.
Apart from Slávek’s, I personally found Max Schrems’ talk especially delightful. There were a few more good talks as well – although, being an engineer, I would prefer much more in-depth technological content.
I especially enjoyed meeting with Evolveum partners during the last evening of the conference. Overall, EIC 2025 was quite an experience.
