Atricore: Enhancing Security through MidPoint and SIEM Integration Webinar Summary

We organized another webinar from the MidPoint Integrations: Partner Series, featuring our partner Atricore and Wazuh! Atricore’s CTO Sebastián Gonzalez Oyuela, their CEO Gianluca Brigandi, and Wazuh’s IT Security Engineer Gerardo David Caceres Fleitas explored how integrating midPoint with the OSS SIEM Wazuh enhances security, streamlines IGA, and ensures regulatory compliance. The presentation included a practical demo.

Sebastián Gonzaléz Oyuela is an accomplished System Architect and the Developer behind JOSSO (Java Open Single Sign-On). As the Co-Founder of Atricore, a leading North American cybersecurity firm, Sebastián has overseen offshore operations and directed software product lines across diverse organizations. His most recent endeavor involves spearheading the integration between Wazuh’s SIEM and midPoint, aimed at bolstering companies’ cybersecurity posture and enhancing operational resilience within the open source community.

Gianluca Brigandi serves as the CEO of Atricore and is an esteemed OWASP speaker with more than 30 years of expertise in software development and cybersecurity. He has made substantial contributions to the open source community through pivotal projects such as JOSSO, AtricoreIO, and QUASH. Gianluca is committed to advancing cybersecurity solutions that empower organizations globally, including his notable contribution to integrating identity governance and administration (IGA) with security operations center (SOC) systems.

Gerardo Caceres Fleitas is an IT Security Engineer at Wazuh, Inc., specializing in pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, and cybersecurity design since 2014. He gained industry insights through a cultural exchange program in the U.S. and actively contributes to open-source cybersecurity communities, emphasizing continuous professional development.
