Panel Discussion: MidPoint in Cloud or On Premise
Since midPoint is an open source IGA platform, it can be run in many versatile set-ups and in various types of infrastructure. The two main categories are on-premise and cloud. In the identity governance area, the answer to which infrastructure option is the best is very rarely straighforward and it becomes more complex with compliance, data protection, legal requirements, as well as with scalability, maintenance and many other issues. At Evolveum we do not believe in one-size-fits-all solutions, and we equally support all deployment options even though many other IGA platforms are exclusively available as a cloud service. Nevertheless, when the different deployment models are present, one still needs to decide what is best for their own architecture. To help with this decision, we are bringing together speakers with experience from both perspectives to share their practical insights in addition to advantages and challenges of each approach. Whether you are planning a new midPoint deployment or re-evaluating an existing one, this panel discussion moderated by Filip Slunský and joined by Carsten Paul, Michael Pitra, and Guilherme Monteiro will offer practical perspectives, lessons learned, and an honest debate with community members.
