Birds of a Feather: Brainstorming on Future MidPoint Features
Birds of a Feather session (BoF) is an informal and engaging gathering at a conference to discuss a particular topic. Main speakers are there mostly to introduce the topic and moderate the discussion. Participation of all attendees in the discussion is expected and welcome.
Building the midPoint roadmap is a burdensome task. It requires a careful balance of keeping up the pace with the state of the art, improving and fine-tuning existing features, extending the range of configuration options, and incorporating other ideas. That is already difficult per se, but to even get to this part it is crucial to understand the requirements for midPoint originating across sectors and varying based on the type of use. Part of Evolveum’s job is engaging with the worldwide midPoint community, understanding their needs, plans, priorities, and wishes. MidPoint Community Meetup is an excellent place to do that. Not only based on session content, but also through coffee break discussions and other engagements. To support this activity even more, we are organizing this BoF session to have dedicated time for sharing thoughts and gathering feedback. Join this open discussion and help us in understanding your requirements and collecting valuable input for further forming of the midPoint roadmap. Any discussion related to midPoint features and capabilities is welcome. For example, we can discuss what is missing, what works well in the current state, where improvements are needed, and what is good enough even though it’s not perfect. Use this opportunity to voice your ideas directly to Evolveum’s team. The discussion is moderated by Slávek Licehammer and Pavol Mederly.
