InCommon

InCommon grew out of Internet2’s work in providing trusted access to global resources, which has been underway since 1998. In 2000, Internet2 received the first of what would become 10 federal agency awards, including four from the National Science Foundation, with Ken Klingenstein as the principal investigator who was later inducted into the Internet Hall of Fame. This work led to the creation of the InCommon Federation and the Trusted Access Platform, an identity and access management suite of software.

Through IAM solutions, InCommon provides access to the experience and perspectives of nearly 1,000 institutions to ensure the smartest people are working on the toughest problems our community faces. For more information, visit www.incommon.org or follow @InCommonUS on Twitter.
