What you will do
Evolveum attracts extraordinary people who want to do their best work. Make a real impact with the following responsibilities
- Design, implement, and document new midPoint features and improvements
- Bugfix, test, stabilize, and prepare midPoint for release
- Collaborate with other team members and customers to define, gather, and analyze functional and non-functional requirements and to deliver the best results
- Come up with ideas and put them into practice to influence midPoint’s future
- Be the person responsible for your time management and workflow to meet agreed deadlines
- Maintain high standards for code quality and refactor the code reasonably
- Share your knowledge with colleagues during internal tech talks In addition to previously mentioned responsibilities, depending on your focus you will be also responsible for following:
- Backend focus
- Design, implementation of integration with SQL-based databases
- Design, implementation of application features
- Working on performance improvements
- DevOps focus
- Prepare and maintain Docker containers, Kubernetes deployments
- Jenkins, testing and product release automation & maintenance
- CI/CD for demo and testing deployments
- Security focus
- Design, setup and implement security testing and automated scanning
- Monitoring automated scans, potential vulnerabilities from 3rd-party libraries (Identifying false positives, security updates)
- Analyze existing code base from security perspective
- Coordinate security responses and implementation of security fixes, write security advisories
Skills and qualifications

Java
Java Spring, Spring Boot on a pro level, Apache Wicket (optional)
Software development
At least 5 years of experience with projects of any size
Problem solving
A creative approach towards problems and the ability to find a solution
Enthusiastic attitude
A passion for technology and willingness to understand the details of how things work
Education
A bachelor’s degree (and higher) and/or a proven track record
Language
English skills on the B2 level or higher
Independence
The ability to work independently, in a team, and with customers
SQL
Experience with SQL databases, designing table models, optimizing database queries and performance is beneficial
Software Security
At least 2 years of experience with software security is beneficial
DevOps
Jenkins, Docker & Docker Compose (required), skilled in lifecycle of docker applications and upgrades with persistent data, Kubernetes is beneficial
