Utilizing the Multi-Affiliations Concept in Academic Use Cases
In academic environments, individuals often hold multiple roles – such as being both a lecturer and a student – requiring different access rights and attributes. This session led by Daniel Konzalla will demonstrate how DAASI International leveraged midPoint’s multi-affiliations feature to implement such use cases. Daniel will outline the typical challenges in academic identity management scenarios, introduce the concept of multi-affiliations in midPoint, and describe in detail the practical implementation of handling multi-role scenarios efficiently. After attending this talk, participants will have a clearer understanding of how multi-affiliations can be applied in academic contexts. Once the concept is understood, it can also be extended to support additional complex identity management use cases using this powerful midPoint feature.
