How to get to the venue

How to get from the Don Giovanni Hotel to Loď Pivovar and back

Option 1: Tram and walk (Fastest)
Getting there
Estimated time: ~25 minutes
Estimated cost: ~30 CZK (~1.20 EUR) for a 30-minute public transport ticket in Prague

  • Exit Hotel Don Giovanni Prague through the main entrance.
  • Walk approximately 2 minutes to the Želivského tram stop.
  • At the stop, board Tram No. 26 heading toward Dlouhá třída / Špejchar.
  • Stay on the tram for about 15–20 minutes (depending on traffic), passing Hlavní nádraží and Náměstí Republiky.
  • Exit the tram at the Dlouhá třída stop.
  • Once outside, walk toward the Vltava River along Dvořákovo nábřeží.
  • Continue for about 5 minutes along the riverside until you reach Loď Pivovar.

Getting back
Estimated time: ~25 minutes
Estimated cost: ~30 CZK (~1.20 EUR) for a 30-minute public transport ticket in Prague

  • Leave Loď Pivovar and walk back along Dvořákovo nábřeží toward the Dlouhá třída tram stop (~5 minutes).
  • At Dlouhá třída, board Tram No. 26 heading toward Želivského / Malešice.
  • Stay on the tram for about 15–20 minutes, passing Náměstí Republiky and Hlavní nádraží.
  • Exit at the Želivského tram/metro stop.
  • Walk approximately 2 minutes back to Hotel Don Giovanni Prague.

Option 2: Metro / Underground and walk

Estimated cost: ~30 CZK (~1.20 EUR) for a 30-minute public transport ticket in Prague

  • Exit Hotel Don Giovanni Prague through the main entrance.
  • Walk approximately 2 minutes to the Želivského Metro Station.
  • Enter the station and follow the signs to Metro Line A (green line).
  • Take the train toward Nemocnice Motol.
  • Exit at the Staroměstská Station.
  • Leave the station following the signs to nábřeží / river (Vltava).
  • Once outside, walk along the Vltava River embankment in the direction of the Štefánikův Bridge.
  • Continue walking for about 15 minutes along the riverside.
  • You will arrive at Loď Pivovar.

  • Leave Loď Pivovar and walk along the Vltava River embankment toward the Old Town area.
  • Continue walking approximately 15 minutes until you reach the Staroměstská Metro Station.
  • Enter the station and follow the signs to Metro Line A (green line).
  • Take the train toward Depo Hostivař.
  • Stay on the metro for several stops and exit at the Želivského Station.
  • Leave the station and walk approximately 2 minutes back to Hotel Don Giovanni Prague.

Option 3: Taxi / Uber / Bolt (Fastest)

  • Ride directly from the Don Giovanni Hotel to Loď Pivovar
  • Address of the venue: Loď Pivovar, Dvořákovo nábřeží, Štefánikův most, kotviště 19
  • Address of the hotel: Don Giovanni Hotel, Vinohradská 2733/157a, 130 00 Praha 3-Žižkov

Option 4: Walking (Scenic City Walk)
Estimated time: ~1 hr 10 min | Estimated distance: ~6 km

Exit the Don Giovanni Hotel Prague through the main entrance and turn left onto Vinohradská Street. Walk straight along the boulevard for about 2 km, enjoying the view of cafés, shops, and elegant buildings in the Vinohrady district, until you reach Jiřího z Poděbrad Square, easily recognizable by the Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord.

From the square, follow Korunní Street to Legerova Street heading toward Wenceslas Square, Prague’s famous central boulevard. Walk down Wenceslas Square past the National Museum (Prague) and continue into the Old Town, where streets become narrower and filled with historic buildings, shops, and street life.

From the Old Town, head toward the Vltava River and continue along the embankment onto Dvořákovo nábřeží. Follow the riverside path toward Štefánikův Bridge, enjoying views of Prague’s skyline. After a short riverside walk, you will see the boat restaurant Loď Pivovar.

To return, leave Loď Pivovar and continue along the riverside path on Dvořákovo nábřeží back toward the Old Town. Walk through the same Old Town streets you passed before, return to Wenceslas Square – Legerova – Korunní – Jiřího z Poděbrad Square, then follow Vinohradská Street straight back to the hotel.

Option 5: Walking (Shorter Walk)
Estimated time: ~1 hr | Estimated distance: ~5 km

Exit the Don Giovanni Hotel Prague through the main entrance and turn right onto Vinohradská Street. Walk for about 200 meters and then turn left onto Seifertova Street. Continue straight along Seifertova, passing the Olšanské hřbitovy cemetery on your left. Stay on this path as it curves slightly and becomes Prvního pluku Street, passing by the Vojenský historický ústav on your right. Continue straight until you reach Rohanské nábřeží, the riverside embankment. Turn right onto Rohanské nábřeží and follow the riverside path toward the Štefánikův Bridge. The boat restaurant Loď Pivovar is moored on the right-hand side along the river just before the bridge.
For the return, simply reverse the route: leave Loď Pivovar, walk southeast along Rohanské nábřeží, continue onto Prvního pluku Street, pass the Vojenský historický ústav, walk around Olšanské hřbitovy, and then back along Seifertova → Vinohradská to reach the hotel.
