This is a functional interface and can therefore be used as the assignment target for a lambda expression or method reference.

Classes implementing this interface are used to handle iterative results. It is only used to handle iterative search results now. It may be reused for other purposes as well. TODO this should perhaps be named ObjectResultHandler
